a colourless, odourless toxic flammable gas formed by incomplete combustion of carbon.

How does Carbon Monoxide Occur?
it is caused by incomplete combustion of fuel, lack of air, lack of ventilation

Common Causes of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
Incorrectly installed, poorly maintained or poorly ventilated household appliances such as; cookers, heaters, central heating boilers.
Blocked flues & chimneys can stop carbon monoxide from escaping..ie. solid fuel fire/ gas fire/ stove

How to prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
Ensure that your appliances are service annually by a registered engineer
A carbon monoxide detector should be fitted in every room where there is a combustible appliance
Ensure that there is no obstruction to any air vents in a room.
